Make it stop!!!!!! I am calling Winter Over.. NOW!

One thing about living in good ole Chicago is the gorgeous views we get in the winter of snow.

Outside the parentals house! Snow falling <3

Park in they City!

This City is pretty AMAZE after snowfall :)

I'm a little bit bi-polar when it comes to seasons. I am a summer girl who loves beach, BBQ's, running outside, and the warm weather, but I also love the snow, wearing scarves and boots, and heading up north to snowmobile!

But as of this moment right now, I am officially over winter. You hear that mother nature? I am done with a capital D! It has been snowing here for 48 hours, we have 14 inches on the ground in front of my house and it is enough. Tuesday when snow storm Rocky (which is what Paul Konrad called it) it took me 2 hours, 1 police officer, and 4 very nice construction workers to get home. My usual easy 30 minute ride was scary, nerve wrecking, and the most stressful drive ever! This lengthy but pretty amusing for those of you who didn't live it.

It started with an accident on the exit ramp I take to get on the tollway. Note to everyone in the Midwest, we see snow every year, and every year, its slippery. DO NOT GO 80MPH when it's a blizzard and you cannot see the car in front of you. End Note. Moving on, after 40 minutes of waiting to drive .75 miles, yea for reals, I was driving down the WI highway.. driving about 25MPH and passing 11 accidents, people are morons.

Oh hey traffic friends - lets hang out for 45 minutes :(

Speed demon!!!! 30MPH was a god send after sitting at about 8MPH for 45 minutes.

Then I got freaking detoured onto a country road, and IL cannot plow normal roads so that was fun. OH wait, it wasn't. I got stuck at a light and then my car couldn't get traction, which led to me being stuck for 15 minutes until some nice Police Officer and 4 Construction workers got out of their cars and dug out my car and pushed it through the intersection.... and I was on my way.

This is said Intersection - I will NEVER go here again.
Terrible. And yes I took pictures while the nice men pushed my car, I need to document this.

But look at those trees, still real pretty. Damn you Snow.

Those were the nicest people ever... and I wanted to hug all of them, but really I just wanted to get home... So I drove home, slowly and trying not to stop at any lights so my car wouldn't get stuck. Also, all while crying to my Dad on the phone because apparently at 26, car situations still stress me out. Ridic I know, but when I have car troubles, I call my daddy.

Anyways, fast forward 30 minutes (usual 8 minute drive) and I am home, but cannot get into my driveway because there is a foot of snow. So what do I do? Call Daddy. Duh?! He taught me how to use a snow blower so for 2 hours my mom & I shoveled the driveway, of course she got to use the snow blower, until it was all clear. That sucked but I burned about 500 calories doing it and am still sore from it, so i guess that's a plus?!

Anyways... the snow is finally slowing down, thank god, because I am O-V-E-R it.

This is real #firstworldproblem, but it's mine. Anyways... Guess I'll get back to work, its crazy here and blogging is def not on my long ass to do list.

Later Chicas,

And the Oscar goes to.......

So it's Monday again.. wa wa waaaaaaa. And I stayed up wayyyy to late watching the Oscars.

I am not usually a big Oscars fan (since I haven't seen any of the movies) but I am a huge fan of all the actors & actresses up for awards this year so I had to tune in. Plus, Hello it is the Super Bowl of fashion and the dresses this year DID NOT disappoint. I literally watch E! from 3:30 to 7:30 with my girl Giuliani to see all the arrivals and then the show from 7:30 to 11:00. Lonnnnng ass show but worth it. I though Seth McFarland did a great job, it seemed less stuffy this year!

Anyways let's get to my favorites.

THE GOOD!!!

1. J - Law: I love this girl and she rocked in her Dior dress (fall up the stairs and all) This dress was absolutely gorgeous and my favorite of the night.

2. Amy Adams: I wasn't sure how i felt about the bottom, but she was flawless in it. And the color was fantastic. Great choice!

3. Channing Tatum: Boys are boring and all have the same suit, but DAYYYYYYUM. He looks good, oh yea and that baby mama of his looks ok AMAZE too.

4. The E! Host - I love the choice of black, it's always so classy and G and Kelly looked beautiful as always. Although, I could def go without the purple pastel hair..

5. Jennifer Aniston: She looked good, but come on, the hair? It always looks the same. Its the Oscars, get yourself some curls or something!

6. Honorable Mention to the BLUE crew, hot color! These ladies looked great and can you believe that Helen Hunt's dress was from H&M, talk about a women who can make anything work!

7. Finally..... Kerry Washington. My girl Olivia Pope looked outstanding.. that color is the bomb and makes spring seem so close. Plus her hair, amaze.

THE BAD!!!!

1. K Stew: Just ugh, go away. I cannot stand her. She has no emotion and apparently no hairbrush. Too cool for a comb at the Oscars? No... Sit Down Twilight.

2. Anne Hathaway: Usually I am a big fan, but she looked cold (hello nips?!!!) and the material of the dress looked so cheap. To be nice, her hair wasn't terrible?

3. Halle Berry - This dress is just bad. I do not like. The End.

4. Nicole Kidman - This dress looked like tar.. it was a weird material and I wasn't a fan.

5. Finally....Maria Menounois (or however you spell her name) I wasn't a fan of the bubble gum pink barbie gown. Again, this is the Oscars get creative people.

And obviously I sat around watching the Oscars wearing my best Victoria Secret yoga pants and ISU hoodie. Watch out GlamCam 360, I am coming for ya.

Oh and I made it almost the entire show with not one tear shed (yes i am a baby, what?) and then Ben Affleck gets on stage... kills me. Him and Jennifer Garner are totes the Hollywood couple of the year. They are adorable. I mean what wife wouldn't want to be compared to Iran, ah sweet love.

But as a heads up to the Academy. I would really appreciate an invite next year. I would rock the Oscars, so if they could work on that, great.

Alas no invite this year but hey, it could be worse, you could be these people at rehearsals:

Happy Monday People, Have a great week!

Weekend Update

Happy Sunday All! Linking up with the hilarious Sami over here to update y'all on my weekend!

Check it out!

Being back stateside I finally had some time to see my favorite people, and get back on the work out & healthy eating train! Yea!!

So here is a little breakdown of what went down in my world these past few days...

Early Saturday Morning Sweat Seesh! This is one of the hardest spinning instructors ever.
Great way to start the weekend :)

Out with CW shopping and Starbucksing.
Finally got some b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l nude heels & look at the new phone case (Chanel-ish!)

Found myself a little Johnny Toews doll at the mall. I think I need this in my life.

Movie Time with Lo!

She is adorable! And found some new friends to sit with.

Really excited about his popcorn!

So after a day of shopping, we met up for dinner and a movie. Saw Warm Bodies, which since I love all things Zombie, I was pumped about. Y'all it was AMAZEBALLS! Call Oscar because he is going to want to know about this one. I loved it, it was cute, and hilarious! I def suggest going to see it. NOW!

Lazy Sunday was spent with a morning run, outside again (LOVE), and a little One Tree Hill time from SoapNet. Went grocery shopping with mom and got all my stuff for this week and I am pumped to try some new YF recipes.

Sunday night I headed to Grayslake to cheer Madi on in the Championship game at her basketball tournament. She did great and it was actually a close and fun game to watch. As much as it can be for 9 year old girls.

Go Rams!

Action shot! Madi going for the ball.....

Looking into the game, LOL.
She is the cutest! Go #2!

But sadly in the end, they lost. But they still got a sweet trophy and some medals, so she was totes happy.

Now, I have parked myself in front of the TV to watch the rest of the E Red Carpet and get myself ready for the Oscars! All while trying to watch the Blackhawks game too, this will be interesting. I love award season and I am kind of sad it's over, the fashion and speeches. So with the Oscars being the end, it's like a more fashionable Super Bowl Sunday!!

I'll be back tomorrow with full coverage of the winners, losers, and the fashion (duh!)..... A little preview below, Amy Adams.... KILLER GORGEOUS! Love the dress.

That's all for now ladies, have a happy Sunday, see y'all tomorrow.

Thoughts on a Plane.

1. It's way to crowded
2. Why don't all planes come with mini tv's in my seat? And a back massager?
3. Are we there yet?
4. Is it inappropriate to order drinks? My boss is a few rows ahead of me... Happy Hour at 33,000 feet anyone?
5. Why is said drink $7? I can buy a whole bottle of wine for $3.99! Duh, cause I'm classy.
6. Way way to crowded.
7. There is a baby, dear lord I hope it doesn't cry.
8. The extremely cute boy in front of me is watching Friends on his laptop. Soulmates. duh.
9. I wonder what state we are over now, they all look the same when we fly over them.
10. God I wish 'Fly Over States' by Jason Aldean would leave my head now.

This is what happens when I am bored and want to avoid work emails.

Have a great weekend!

Canada AYE!

Hello There from our neighbor to the north!!!!!

OH CANADA!!

Trip started great, new book (which is pretty great!!! and cute, not anything profound, but a cute/easy read) and a row to myself. Air Canada also has a TV on each seat in front of the passengers! I watched The Mindy Project and The Big Bang Theory, made for a real quick flight!

First business trip of the travel season brought me up to Canada, Toronto to be exact, for some serious business meetings, most of which meant visiting McDonalds headquarters in Canada and lot and lots... and lots of store visits.

Checking on the projects we have been working on and making sure everyone is happy!!
Pretty good looking cup, aye?!

It has been a real great trip professionally and I have already learned a lot even though I have only been here about 27 hours! Toronto is a nice city, very busy and man do these people like coffee. They are constantly drinking it ALL DAY! There are more coffee shops here then anything else, but hardly any SBUX! I know, weird, but they are really into McCafe coffee (which is great for work!) and a place called Tim Horton's, which I think is not good at all. I am huge fan of McCafe, their skinny, sugar free vanilla lattes are the bomb diggity and I have had 4 of them on this trip, can't say no to free coffee, especially working all day on 6 hours of sleep.

We had dinner in the hotel last night and talked work and then I went for a run in the gym! Talk about dedication, until I saw the fro-yo place across the street. Ask anyone who knows me I am a sucker for Fro-yo! So I walked my happy butt outside in -22 degree wind chill weather for fro-yo, it's a little healthy right?

Westin - Prince Toronto
This was a snow clock, pretty cool!

Finally back at the hotel :)

Friends, Fro-Yo, and a comfy hotel all to myself..... HEAVEN!

Today we had morning meetings and we are going to a few more store visits and then it's back to the states for me! Our customers are very sweet up here, even got a present from one.

YUM!

McDonalds Corporate - Canada (Toronto)

This has been a hard YF week since I couldnt be really picky on menu options.

Back at the airport in a few hours to head home! Hopefully the snow doesnt slow us down and we have a safe flight. Have a happy friday y'all!!

PS - I still havent found an attractive mounty to bring home... GRRR. Although there are plenty of attractive men here, Hello this is where my Toews is from... <3

Love of my life!

Have a great weekend!!!
