Hello There from our neighbor to the north!!!!!

OH CANADA!! 

Trip started great, new book (which is pretty great!!! and cute, not anything profound, but a cute/easy read) and a row to myself. Air Canada also has a TV on each seat in front of the passengers! I watched The Mindy Project and The Big Bang Theory, made for a real quick flight!

First business trip of the travel season brought me up to Canada, Toronto to be exact, for some serious business meetings, most of which meant visiting McDonalds headquarters in Canada and lot and lots... and lots of store visits.

 Checking on the projects we have been working on and making sure everyone is happy!!

It has been a real great trip professionally and I have already learned a lot even though I have only been here about 27 hours! Toronto is a nice city, very busy and man do these people like coffee. They are constantly drinking it ALL DAY! There are more coffee shops here then anything else, but hardly any SBUX! I know, weird, but they are really into McCafe coffee (which is great for work!) and a place called Tim Horton's, which I think is not good at all. I am huge fan of McCafe, their skinny, sugar free vanilla lattes are the bomb diggity and I have had 4 of them on this trip, can't say no to free coffee, especially working all day on 6 hours of sleep.

We had dinner in the hotel last night and talked work and then I went for a run in the gym! Talk about dedication, until I saw the fro-yo place across the street. Ask anyone who knows me I am a sucker for Fro-yo! So I walked my happy butt outside in -22 degree wind chill weather for fro-yo, it's a little healthy right?

Today we had morning meetings and we are going to a few more store visits and then it's back to the states for me! Our customers are very sweet up here, even got a present from one.

Back at the airport in a few hours to head home! Hopefully the snow doesnt slow us down and we have a safe flight. Have a happy friday y'all!!

PS - I still havent found an attractive mounty to bring home... GRRR. Although there are plenty of attractive men here, Hello this is where my Toews is from... <3

The week (and a half) I forgot about my blog.....

For Shame, I know, I have really failed lately. I will give the generic excuseses, ready go...

WORK, WORK, PARTIES, FAMILY, BOYFRIEND (lol.... no), WORK..

OK but for real, work has been crazy and the last thing I wanted was to get on a computer, and then I really started to miss this little bloggy blog, So I am back.. with some pictures and updates... But really I was sick for most of last week so I have been super boring. Here goes....

Oh yes, last week was Valentines Day, and since I am single I got to have this little love bug, Nathan James as my hot date :) I love this little boy and he was by far the best Valentine ever, even though he didnt get me anything LOL.

Driving home from work Friday, I'd say thats a pretty great view on Friday! 

Finally it was above 9 degrees here so I put on my running shoes, after about a week of failed workouts..... and ran lakeside, Snow & All. I loved it. Cant wait til I can do this more on the reg.

This is a pretty killer workout for just a quicky before a shower (LOL - I am so mature).

A good calorie killer!

 

I need to remember this.. 1.5 weeks of taking a Bday Break.. but I am back to the workout seesh everyday since Saturday and feeling good.

 

 

So now ladies, I leave tomorrow for my first long business trip to..... OH CANADA!!!!

Toronto to be exact, got some meeting, finally have a passport. I am ready to get outta town. Plus a free upgraded hotel suite paid for by work sounds amazeballs!!!

 

Although after last night and the STUPID/RUDE/VICIOUS/MEAN Canucks came into town and tried to kill Marion Hossa, AGAIN... Canada still sucks... AND THE BHAWKS STILL WON.. and Hossa scored 2 points. #LoveHockey

 

 

Alright Ladies, Ill be back to post tomorrow about my experiences in Canadia... and maybe I'll even find me an attractive Mounty....

See ya 25

Today is my favorite day of the whole year.... MY BIRTHDAY!!! 

Ladies & Gents I am now 26 years old and I am okay with it. Back in the day, I always saw 25 as my scary age, like I needed to be married and popping out kiddos, AND THANK GOD that hasn't happened yet. 25 was a rough year and a great year all at the same time. I was heartbroken and hurt and the beginning, and happier than ever at the end, the year came full circle and I think 26 is going to be pretty stellar!!!

So work was out of control busy last week.... hence the lack of posts... so here is a short break down of my week

 I was more then thrilled to be able to go up to Milwaukee last night and celebrate my birthday with my amazing friends! Pictures are far and few between but here is what I got..

We hit Water Street and the bars in true college fashion, too many shot, too many ridiculous dance moves, too much fun. I love those crazy people and I wouldn't have wanted to spend my bday any other way. I was spoiled by them with beautiful presents and free dranks... holller.

And then I woke up with a banging head & sour stomach, ah hangover, we meet again. I blame coyote ugly and whiskey shots. Who does whiskey shots at 230am, we do.

So now.. still a little hungover I am chilling out and watching the Grammys with my mom, enjoying the sounds of Mumford & Sons, Perfect way to the perfect Bday Weekend :)

Weekend Recap - SuperBowl Addition

Hello Lovers & Happy Monday... said no one ever. But here we are, another Monday.

Unless you live under a rock or hate football (ie: Anti - Awesome), you were enjoying the SuperBowl last night like I was.

 

I love SuperBowl Sunday as noted in my previous posts and yesterday did not disappoint. Yes, the game was boring until after the black out.. which was pretty stellar if I do say so myself… but then Mrs. Sasha Fierce herself rock the stage and brought some old friends with…

 

 

HELLO DESTINY’S CHILD REUNION!!!

My inner highschool freshman freaked out!! Such a great surprise! Loved it.

 

Oh yes, and then the Ravens won the SuperBowl…

I wasn’t really pulling for anyone one way or another, I just like football!

Now, lets chat about commericals… they were not great. If companies want to spend 3 million dollars in 30 seconds why cant they just hand out their money to awesome people, like me?

 

There were 3 commercials that I liked..

1.      KIA – “Where do babies come from”

 

2.      NFL – “voodoo dolls”

 

3.      BEST COMMERCIAL of the NIGHT – Budweisers “Clydesdale’s”

 

 

Yes, I cried like a little girl, this commercial was adorbs and I loooooooooooooooved it.


I spent most of my night with Nater Tot & eating the amazing strawberries I made J and everything else at the party, I will literally be at the gym for about 2.5hours tonight, thank you Sara!

 

Oh and I totes won $15 to Walgreens for the final box score :) Helllllo new nailpolish!

 

Now I am sad football is over but at least the Blackhawks are rocking <8-2> LOVE THEM!

High Five For Friday & Weekend Plans!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I know I say this every Friday but seriously so Happy it's the weekend & I have a pretty fantastic exciting fun weekend planned! I am heading downtown Chicago tonight to partake in restaurant week, basically all the amazeballs Chicago places make cheap premade menus and we get to go enjoy places that are usually way to pricey for like $45!!! I am heading to Ruth Chris' Steakhouse :) with Kalen! I am so ready for a nice steak, some wine, and relaxing after this nutty week. Saturday I get to finally see my cousin, Jenny who I have been missing so that will be great, we always have a good time together, like driving the wrong way down WI highways and eating way too much good food at AJ Bombers in Milwaukee (seriously best burgers EVER, they put PB on them)... SOLD!

Sunday is well, the Super Bowl!!! And I will be chilling, eating, and drinking. And get to finally see my besties for lunch beforehand. All in all, great weekend.

Thoughts on a Thursday

Hello Lovies, Hope you are all having a lovely Friday Eve! I am cold... I know I have mentioned this before but for real Mother Nature is pissed at us mid-westerns. Monday & Tuesday were gorgrous.. like no coat in January nice and now today.. freezing 2 degrees with  hurricane winds (okay maybe not that bad, but my hair is looking cray).

This is not a joke, this is real life in Illinois.

 

Moving on.... So in case y'all have been living under a rock this Sunday is the best Sunday of them all...

 

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!!!

 

This means an all day football watching (and commercials), food eating, beer drinking spectacular and I cannot wait. Heading over to my girl Sara's house for some delicious food. I told her I would bring something, I mean Pintrest was made for days like that, and now I cannot decide which I would like to bring, any suggestions ladies??? I mean they all look fabulous :)
