Weekend with Ma Besties.... Finally

It's been a hot minute (2 months to be exact) since I got to spend a weekend out with my besties and finally this weekend it happened. We watched some hockey, drank lots of beers, and laughed until my abs hurt. These people make me so happy and it makes me sad that we don't get to see each other more often (stupid busy adult schedules) but when we do, we make up for lost time.

Sunday Social - Thankful Edition

Happy Sunday Ladies, I have one hell of an amazing weekend and I wanted to link up before I head out to see CATCHING FIRE! I am ridiculously excited, if you can't tell.


I am Thankful for:

My amazing family. I feel more and more blessed everyday that they are healthy and happy. I love them so much and they are my #1 thankful for blessing every year
I am Thankful for:

My Friends. They keep me sane, they love me no matter what, and they keep me laughing
I am Thankful for:

Coffee. To get me through work & everything else.

I am Thankful for: The job I sometimes hate (but usually love). Having a roof over my head. The chance I was given to go away to college. My college degree. Christmas music. A comfy bed. Crazy families. Girls Nights. Wine.My running shoes. My health. DVR. And so much more than I can imagine or remember. 
I think this is perfectly fitting for the beginning of Thanksgiving week.

Happy Freakin' Weekend

HELLLLLO Friday!!! I am beyond excited it's finally the weekend because this girl has some bomb diggity plans... Hockey + Beers + Best Friends = Awesomeness.

Anyways before I get too ahead of myself, here are 5 reasons this week was awesome -

I finally broke down and bought Talenti gelato and it is every bit as amazing as I thought it would be. I cannot keep this in the house.. It is too good.

After many weeks of begging (cough, cough Kalen) I began reading Harry Potter (with wine) and it has been pretty good so far, I still can't believe there are 7 books. #aintnobodygottimeforthat

These two. They are just so fun - 15 months is a great age.

THIS COMES OUT TODAY!!! I cannot wait to see it, I have been waiting 

since I saw the 1st one.. and hopefully this weekend I will get to.

Saturday morning mimosas and captain crunch french toast - amaze.

Frank's Diner in Kenosha is the best brunch spot ever!

Sat PM I spent with these nuggets. Reading books, playing hide and seek, and loving on them. They were so happy and fun, I didn't want to put them to bed LOL.

Sunday I felt like being really domesticated. I made crock pot chili - YUM - and brownies.

I had to bring the leftover brownies to work so I wouldnt eat them all. They were good.

 

And thats all. Another relaxing weekend at home, which I loved. Thanksgiving is only a week away!

Hope you're all having fabulous weekend. I am currently listening to the sounds of tornado sirens. So theres that. Where do you go in a 2 story condo with lots of windows? No worries, I called my mom, they know everything. We decided the bathroom.. let's hope it doesn't come to that... ek!

Snowy Shenanigans

Yes, thats right people, there is snow falling outside my window at work, you cannot really tell, but there is I swear. I am a huge fan of snow so please do not expect complaining... well at tleast until it hits -9 degrees and I have to clean off my car LOL. Until then I will love it <3

I wanted to take a sec to wish a Happy Veterans Day to all the men & women who serve our great country. Thank you for your bravery as you fight for our freedom!

 

After 5 weekends of work, I am so happy I was able to stay home and do nothing this weekend. I caught up on sleep, worked out, and just watched a lot of TV, my DVR was exploding. Since I was a lazy bug all weekend I don't have many pictures but a few for you to enjoy.

 

 

Sunday Morning I ran lakeside for 5 miles and it felt great to finally be out of bed and running :)

I ran to my mom's and stole her crockpot & chili recipie.. A post on this will be coming up, it is the best!

 

So that's it, insert some pictures of SoapNet, Lifetime Christmas movies (yes, there back!!) and some major Scandle catch up ( I LOVE OLIVIA POPE) and that is my weekend!

3 weeks til Thanksgiving.. But Who is Counting?

Happy Sunday Evening Ladies. I am finally back to feeling like a human and being over my sickness - insert angels singing - And I can't think of a better way to end the weekend than the usual..


Favorite Thanksgiving Memory: Drinking wine with my aunts and mom while watching the crazy boys of the family in their annual Thanksgiving Wiffle Ball game.. they are amusing to watch, the wine helps ;)
Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Stuffing. For Sure. I could honestly eat this alone and be content.. oh and my Mom's pumpkin pie.

One Thanksgiving tradition you and your family share: The Annual Ornament exchange. We play this ridiculous game to trade ornaments, everyone has to bring 1 to share, and there is a theme. This year's theme is something that starts with the 1st letter of your middle name, could we be more complicated?? But the game always gets off track and we end of laughing like crazy.. it is my favorite part of the night.

This is after my Dad dropped an entire pan of lasagna on the floor, him and my uncle tried to clean it up with spatulas before Mom came upstairs. It was too funny. 

What are you looking forward to the most this year? Spending time with everyone, eating good food, and of course Black Friday shopping with my aunts and mom afterwards, this year we are bringing whistles.. it's going to be good!!
